Continuing Martha's Legacy. Giving Hope to the Little Ones.

Inspired by the life and words of the late Martha Stadler, we are committed to supporting children in communities where the need is greatest.

Why We Exist

While assisting our mother, we became increasingly aware of the challenges faced by many children in our communities. Schools work tirelessly to support their learners, but there are limits to what they can provide.

We believe there is an opportunity to help close that gap.

Our foundation aims to work alongside primary schools and community organisations to identify children and communities in need and provide practical support that can make a meaningful difference.

School Essentials

Providing school clothing, stationery and other essential resources.

Social Wellbeing

Creating safe spaces where children can develop personally, socially and spiritually.

Food & Nutrition

Supporting children who may arrive at school without adequate food.

Education

Supporting educational opportunities and activities that encourage children to learn and grow.

Help Us Give Hope

We humbly ask you to stand with us in continuing Martha's legacy.

Your support can help provide food, school clothing, stationery, educational opportunities and social support to children who need it most.

Together, we can give a thought to the little ones — and give them hope for the future.

Giving a Thought to the Little Ones

We are a Non-Profit Company dedicated to supporting children and communities through social welfare, education and practical care.

Our foundation was inspired by the words of the late Martha Stadler: “Give a thought to the little ones.” Throughout her life, Martha believed that every child deserved the opportunity to learn, grow and feel cared for.

Her legacy continues through our commitment to supporting children who face challenges such as hunger, limited resources and difficult social circumstances.

The Woman Behind the Legacy

Born on 30 May 1962 in Grassy Park to Dennis and Christina Smith, Martha Stadler developed a passion for teaching from a very young age. Even as a child, she would take on the role of teacher, instilling in others the importance of education.

Her passion became a lifelong calling. Martha taught at Lantana Primary School in Lentegeur, Mitchell's Plain, for 23 years before retiring in 2023. She continued returning to the school whenever she was needed and also taught at Beaconvale Primary School in Beacon Valley.

“You can't teach a hungry child.”

Martha believed that education could not be separated from a child's wellbeing. Her work extended beyond academics to the personal and social needs of the children she served.

Her father once reminded her: “Martha! My child, you are busy with God's children.” She carried those words with her throughout her life.

More Than a Meal

Our vision extends beyond providing immediate necessities. We want to create opportunities that uplift, motivate and inspire children.

By working together with schools, universities, community organisations and other partners, we hope to provide activities and programmes that encourage creativity, confidence, personal growth and a sense of belonging.

Feed

Provide practical nutritional support.

Uplift

Create activities that inspire and motivate.

Develop

Encourage educational, personal and social growth.

A Legacy That Lives On

Martha leaves behind her husband, sons, daughters and grandchildren, as well as countless former learners and people whose lives she touched through her work.

Her family has chosen to honour her memory not only by remembering the person she was, but by continuing the work that mattered so deeply to her.

Our hope is to give today's little ones the same care, encouragement and opportunity that Martha believed every child deserved.

Martha's family gathered at her home in Montana for her three-month remembrance, celebrating her life and the impact she had on those around her.
